maschinen krieger - Oskar R/6 build

The Oskar is one of my favorite Ma.K designs. For a long time, one was hard to come by one and if you did, they were over $200USD. Thanks to Wave and Kow, now you can pick up one for about $60USD- much less expensive than the rare Modelkasten kit.

A few years ago, Hexa Models also came out with a fully detailed up version of the Oskar. I pick up two kits from a seller on YJP  before Hexa released their version for mail order.

Hexa just released a conversion kit to make the Wave Oskar release into an R/6 if you like, however the the kit isn't compatible with the Modelkasten release. Here is the link if you'd like to convert your Wave Oskar into the R/6 variant.  HEXA MODEL R6 CONVERSION KIT

Now follow me here- Hexa's Oskar release is exactly like the Modelkasten kit, so the R/6 conversion that came with it fits the Modelkasten kit perfectly. So, I decided to use the rocket tubes, frame and hydraulics from one of the Hexa kits I have to convert my Modelkasten Oskar into an R/6. Since I'll be making an open hull Oskar at some point which doesn't work so with the rocket tubes installed, I'll use them now.
