Camera Shy

For close to two years now I haven't shot any of my completed work.  As computer screens became "retina displays" and my Cannon point and shoot's pics resolution seemed grainier, I was less inclined to photograph my work. I opted to hold out for a new camera, reckoned I'd shoot completed work all at the same time when I got it. That be easy, right? That day has come. I have over 20 builds to catalog and I'm in over my head.

Here are pics of the first two builds out of the 20 or so I need to shoot. I'm using a Panasonic Lumix DMC - LX7. There's a learning curve with this camera and lighting that seems to constantly be changing even though I have a set up. When it comes to pictures, I'm oddly a bit of a perfectionist. Not by any particular standard, but as to what looks cool to me. I'd shoot these build 10,000 times and not be sure which picture looks the best. Photographing builds drives me insane.

This one is a bit mysterious....

Lighting is ok, but a bit bright at the back...

Lighting is good here, though I think the wood block isn't working for me....

The set up. Where the magic isn't happening....
